The Central Virginia Jazz Orchestra is comprised of seventeen instrumentalists and three vocalists. Many of our members are part-time musicians, and we have several full-time working musicians in our organization. Other members include professionals in other fields, such as medicine, education, and the arts. A few are retired, but avid fans of musical performance. Our repertoire includes a range of creative big band arrangements; some standards, some exciting new arrangements. Our earlier repertoire is presented in an authentic style, and our more contemporary selections are played in a style which reflects the musical taste of today. We think you will be pleased with our presentation, and will be excited to become a fan of CVJO!
